Informations for authors presenting an oral or poster contribution to iWOE27

Orals will be both in person and virtual while the poster sessions will be only virtual.

The remote part of iWOE27 will be hosted within the gather.town platform. A short presentation of this platform can be found here.

To minimize problems, it is preferable to use Chrome or Chromium.

 

Oral presentations

• invited speakers’ presentation: 30 minutes (25+5 question time)
• Oral presentation: 15 minutes (12+3 question time)

In-person speakers will have to upload their presentation slides, preferably in pdf format, on the organisation's computer in order to ensure the correct streaming.

Info for virtual speakers

Once logged-in in the iWOE27 room of Gather.Town, move your avatar to the Auditorium room.

 

When the previous talk is ending, move your avatar up to the podium.

When it's your turn, enter the highlighted circle and you will be heard by all the participants.

You will be able to share the presentation using the button at the bottom of your screen. It is preferable to share the whole screen instead of a single application, possibly using Chrome or Chromium as browser.

After the question time, get your avatar off the podium and stop sharing the screen.

Posters

Info for poster presenters

The poster sessions will be hosted within the gather.town platform.

Before the poster session:

Poster will be uploaded in the Gather.town iWOE27 space from now on once we receive your file and will be visible for 2 weeks after the conference closure.

Remember also that you can prepare a short video (a virtual talk of max 10 minutes) to better explain your poster’s contents.

Send us poster and video files before Monday October 11 as follows:

Poster:

- Single image file called " Your Surname_name. [Jpg, .png]"

- Maximum size 10MB

- Upload them by dropping the file at: https://cloud.cnr.it/owncloud/index.php/s/kjC7YPfJmcgP0FU

 Poster Video:

- File format: Surname_name. [Mpeg, avi, mkv]

- Maximum length 10min

During the poster sessions:

Once logged-in in the iWOE27 room of Gather.Town, move your avatar to the poster session room.

Find your poster number on the abstract book (or on the poster list at the entrance) and move your avatar close to your poster.

 

When you enter the darker area near your poster you will be connected with all participants who are in the same area. You can interact with them either by talking or by writing on the chat
