Abstract submission

iWOE27 will be held as a hybrid event.

The conference programme will include selected oral and poster presentations, grouped in sessions according to topics.

As to the oral sessions, preference will be accorded to presentations given in person. Should any emergency arise for the presenter, rescheduling of his/her contribution in remote will be considered. Ultimately, the balance between remote and in-person contributions will be decided taking the worldwide status of the pandemics into account.

The poster sessions will take place only in remote, but, thanks to the platform chosen, they will have a live format simulating the actual ones: every attendee will be given an avatar, through which they will stroll around the poster area and will be able to visualize posters. Break rooms for up to eigth persons will be available for each poster to provide discussion opportunities via video chat. No download or sign-up required, just a camera and a microphone are needed. Further details will be given soon.

Authors are requested to submit their abstract via e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

  • Authors should indicate the most appropriate research topic for their work as well as their preferred type of presentation (oral/poster). The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reassign the accepted paper to a more appropriate topical category and/or format of presentation.
  • Authors are allowed to submit at most one abstract intended for oral presentation and a further one for poster.
  • Accepted abstracts will be distributed in electronic form to all the regularly enrolled participants.
  • Either oral or poster communication will be automatically withdrawn if the presenting author (or a co-author who is not the presenting author of another contribution) has not registered for the Conference.
